Windsor Chairs represent a high point in the landscape of furniture design & construction. The original English Windsor Chair has traveled extensively throughout the centuries, first coming to America in about 1726. Since then, several stylistic and structural adaptations have evolved including Arrow-Back, Bow-Back, Comb-Back, Fan-Back, Paddle-Back, Sack-Back, Wheat-Back, and many other Windsor Chair varieties.

This 'Heritagec' Acorn-Back Windsor Arm Chair is an adaptation of the Slat-Back Windsor Chairs produced by various East Coast furniture craftsmen during the Nineteenth Century. By using 100% premium American oak hardwood components combined with modern glues and a range of quality finishes (see thumbnails above) it actually surpasses the beauty and durability of those original acorn-back chairs.

. This particular Amish Heritage Acorn-Back Chair combines simplicity, relatively small size, and excellent joinery to produce a true Heirloom Quality piece. The steam-embossed Acorn Design displays the foliage and fruit of the stately oak, and is reminiscent of the decorative designs that often appeared on furniture in the most elegant Country Houses of that era. This chair also features 5 back support arrows, in place of spindles, to further enhance your comfort, with arm rests on each side.
