Lafayette Chairs are a stylized version of a most elegant European furniture mode first popularized in France in the late eighteenth century. Following those classic lines of French furniture design, the Chaise Lafayette is regarded as a masterpiece of elegant, and yet sturdy, furniture design.

This Amish Classic Lafayette Arm Chair is a true reproduction antique modeled on the original French chaise, faithfully reproducing it's outstanding features. By using 100% premium American hardwood components combined with modern glues and a range of quality finishes (see thumbnails above) it actually surpasses the beauty and durability of the original masterpiece.

Characterized by traditional square-frame construction, a comfortably upholstered seat (models are also available with dished wooden seats), and a decorative crest rail, this chair will add a classic Old World touch to your décor. Comfortable back and arm support is ensured by the use of an ergonomically curved back with 2 broad arched splats and well-supported arms on each side.
