Amish Heritage Colonial Scroll Top Bed, Full (Double) Size - SKU#0012-F

The traditional Scroll-Top Headboard design is featured as a complementary embellishment beneath the pediment of many Colonial beds, such as the Arch-Top Bed, Pediment Bed, Plantation Bed, and Rice Bed. It should not be confused with the "scrolled" end-boards characteristic of the Sleigh Bed.

This Amish Heritage Scroll-Top Bed is a particularly stylish adaptation of a popular design from the early nineteenth Century. The headboard and footboard feature a graceful "scroll" mounted on simple linear corner posts that are elegantly supported on turned feet and topped with deeply carved turned Colonial finials. By using 100% premium American maple hardwood components, combined with modern glues and a range of quality finishes (see thumbnails above), it actually surpasses the beauty and durability of the Colonial beds of yore.

The simple yet elegant design of this bed allows it to comfortably fit beside many traditional or contemporary furniture styles. The mortise and tenon corner combined with bed-bolted rails ensures ultimate strength, stability, and durability.
