Since then, several stylistic and structural adaptations have evolved including Arrow-Back, Bow-Back, Comb-Back, Fan-Back, Paddle-Back, Sack-Back, Wheat-Back, and many other Windsor Chair varieties. The original Sack-Back Windsor Chair was so-named because a bag or sack was slipped over the top bow to halt drafts in houses that were less well-sealed than today's.
