Amish Heritage Colonial Pennsylvania Slat Back Side Chair - SKU#3680
Slat-Back Chairs were originally designed to provide stylish and comfortable back support. Our forbears were primarily provided with furniture produced in small rural shops, and this Amish Heritage Colonial Pennsylvania Slat-Back Side Chair is typical of furniture produced in rural shops in Southeastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware from about 1700 and on, well into the nineteenth century. By using 100% premium American hardwood components combined with modern glues and a range of quality finishes (see thumbnails above) it actually surpasses the beauty and durability of the original slat-back chair.
Characterized by modestly ornamented turnings, and the generously arched and curved back-slats joined into steam-bent back-posts, this chair is built for style and comfort. The strongly braced legs ensure maximum stability and durability.
This Heirloom Quality Amish Heritage Colonial Pennsylvania Slat-Back Side Chair will bring an authentic touch of Early American style and comfort into Your home!
Chairs of the Colonial and Federal periods were built to last by caring men who thoroughly understood their tools, materials and craft.
