The Mennonite Furniture Studios Amish 'Classic' Furniture Line is comprised of true 'Reproduction Antiques' that each faithfully follow a distinct and premier antique furniture piece.
Every Amish 'Classic' furniture piece is hand-built by Mennonite & Amish craftsmen, and remains Exactly True To The Original Furniture Form & Style, using the original joinery techniques. Use of modern glues, fasteners, and finishes enhances quality. Additionally, selected components may deploy a minor increase in wood thickness, or substitution of a premium hardwood component in place of an original (more easily worked) softwood component, in order to address a known weak point in the original design.
Thus, each Amish 'Classic' furniture piece is actually of much higher quality (offering superior beauty, durability, and ease of maintenance) compared to the original furniture masterpiece that it is modeled upon.
